My daughter's new club team, which she started playing on during the Spring, has been struggling. Their defense has been fairly strong. They managed to tie the 1st and 2nd place team, but lost to many others, and managed to win only 2 or 3 games in the Spring.
After Spring, we recruited a few new players, some players left, so we now have a changed team. Last weekend they played 4 games in a tournament, losing 1 game to the 1st place team. The other 3 games they shut out their opponents, for 2 wins and a tie. Awesome work by the team as a whole, and of course Valerie, who played keeper and was instrumental in the shut outs.
