Congratulations to Japan for their first Women's World Cup Victory. What a great game they played. My only wish was that the US was knocked out earlier, because then I would have been able to wholeheartedly root for Japan instead of rooting for the US girls but not feel bad it was Japan that took it. Hats off especially to Ayumi Kaihori, the Japanese keeper: she was awesome in that shootout.
Lastly, curse you Ian Darke! Twice he started jabbering about US winning the cup when we were in the lead. Valerie complained both times about him jinxing us, and both times Japan came back with an answering score. I don't care if you are an announcer: earn when to keep your mouth shut!
